The appeal and the danger

A repaired Range Rover can carry serious resale value, so the profit on a well-bought light-damage car can dwarf a supermini flip. But the parts are expensive, the electronics are complex, and a bad one can bleed money faster than any small car. This is not a beginner's first flip.

Where the risk lives

Air suspension, complex infotainment and driver-assist electronics, and expensive body panels all add cost. A light front hit that damages a headlight, a radar sensor and an air strut can run into thousands before you have touched the bodywork. Read the photos for what the impact might have hit beyond the obvious.

What to target

Later Evoque, Velar and Sport models in desirable specs, with clean or Cat N titles and clearly cosmetic damage. Confirmed running, keys present, no air suspension faults visible. Avoid high-mileage cars with known engine issues and anything with heavy structural or flood damage.

Pricing the risk

Because the downside is large, use a bigger hidden-damage buffer and price the exit conservatively from closely matched Range Rover asking listings with explicit category and condition haircuts. One optimistic assumption about parts, electronics or resale can wipe out the profit.

The verdict

High reward, higher risk. Worth it once you have experience, a good specialist and the cash to absorb a surprise. Model it carefully in the Analyzer, push the contingency up, and walk away if the numbers are tight. On a car this expensive to fix, discipline matters even more.
